Walker County Chapter of the Alabama Scenic River Trail Kick-Off Meeting

The Livable Communities Priority Group of the Walker County Health Action Partnership invites you to the kick-off meeting of the Walker County Chapter of the Alabama Scenic River Trail (ASRT) at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 10th at Tallulah Brewing in Jasper. In 2018, ASRT began encouraging local chapter development to engage local citizens to help carry out its mission of education and community development through paddling tourism and recreation. The chapter program is intended as a way to rally local paddling enthusiasts behind improvement and education projects on their rivers, which they know better than anyone else. They will act as the eyes and ears for ASRT leaders, seeking opportunities to pursue and reporting problems that arise.
Due to the work of the Livable Communities Priority Group, these waterways in Walker County have been currently designated on the Alabama Scenic River Trail:
-Blackwater Creek
-Cane Creek
-Sipsey & Mulberry Forks
-Lost/Wolf Creek
