2015 Community Investments
United Way raises funds in one calendar year to be invested the following year. In 2014, United Way raised $38.2 million in pledges, of which 8.2 percent was spent on fundraising and administration. Approximately 6 percent of pledges were uncollected. The remaining funds along with $12.4 million in revenue from grants, investment income and other resources was invested in the community in 2015. 2014 Community Support
United Way raises funds in one calendar year to be invested the following year. In 2013, United Way raised $37.9 million through its annual campaign to be invested in the community in 2014.

2014 Independent Auditors Report
The independent CPA firm of Warren Averett conducts an annual audit of UWCA. The 2014 audit was completed in August 2015. Warren Averett reported that our financial statements fairly and accurately present the financial position of UWCA.

Form 990 is the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)’s designation for the tax return that most public charities are required by law to submit annually. This form is used by the IRS to assess the non-profit organization for its compliance with tax.
