90% of students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) enroll in college the following fall, but Alabama families leave about $57.5 million in Pell Grant aid on the table every year by not completing the FAFSA.
Achieve a 70% FAFSA completion rate among high school seniors in Central Alabama.
We need more students to have access to education after high school. As our economy revolves more and more around advanced knowledge and technical skills, education after high school will provide the keys to opportunity. Through partnering with Alabama Possible’ s Cash for College Campaign, every one of the 63 high schools in our region, altogether serving 12,000 students, now has extensive help and support in completing financial aid forms.
Alabama FAFSA completions increased 4.8 percent in just one year, which was the nation’s fourth-highest increase in FAFSA completions!
